Doesn't it suck that the hockey season's off this year? Stupid lockout. Now I have nothing to do till the baseball season starts.

I could not agree more with that statement. I am already looking forward to opening day. It's April 3, I just found out. LOL I mean, the worst thing is that neither the owners nor the players even care. They're not even talking. If negociations were going on and broke down, well that would suck too but this is ridiculous. I love my nHL!

You know I don't really miss hockey all that much. I all I enjoyed watching it was the goals and fights. Hockey isn't the same :(

I miss it... I cry myself to sleep every Saturday night when Hockey Night in Canada is supposed to be on... I mean, who the &%^# wants to watch Movie Night in Canada?!? How are we supposed to get through the winter without hockey?!? Just kidding :-). No, seriously, I really do miss it. Have you guys ever seen the Molson Canadian commercial in which all these guys sing 'Do you really want hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry? ect' totally off key. In the end the caption says 'Hockey. We need you. Please come back'. It's pretty cute.

If you miss it so badly why dont you hockey freaks put your heads together and improvise a way of playing the game thats acessible to you it needn't be ice hockey just a knock about you never know where it might lead.

Screw the NHL and it's owners! I am now an A H L fan. Y? Because I love the game, not just the people in the NHL.

Post 20 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 08-Feb-2005 21:48:40

Can someone explain to me while blindies liek hockey? Is the commentary really good or something? I mean ... I dunno. How does ti work, sitting through a hockey game? Sorry if I'm being dumb but I'm just curious. Lots of blindies seem to liek hockey. Caitlin

Post 21 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Tuesday, 08-Feb-2005 23:41:53

Susanne. Keep tabs on the Manitoba moose of the American Hockey League. They're the main development team of the canucks plus they're doing fairly well for themselves. If you want an outlet to listen to the games, le tme know. The Moose have a lot of people who are going to play for the canucks as soon as the NHL gets going. Last year they had Johan Hedberg playing a little bit.

Aw darn Liam i was hoping you were gonna answer my question ahahaha.

Post 23 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Wednesday, 09-Feb-2005 0:07:41

sory. usually the games have good play by play, but when your a big hockey fan, you usually don't need it. I'm a big sports fan.

Post 24 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 09-Feb-2005 0:10:19

Thansk Liam. I figured it was the play by play. But how can you understand the game without play by play, is the sound that infomative?

Post 25 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 09-Feb-2005 0:18:36

The only reason I ask is because, since so many blindies like it, I figure I might to. Just wanna know what I'm getting myself into ahaha.

Post 26 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Wednesday, 09-Feb-2005 16:39:08

It's a pretty cool game. Kind of hard to understand at first, but boy is it fun. Especially when you get to see it in person. Like where I'm goign tonight. hee.

Post 27 by krisme (Ancient Zoner) on Thursday, 10-Feb-2005 0:23:25

Lucky duck you. Hockey's not as easy to follow on the radio as baseball is but once you get it it gets fun. And I agree with Liam. Going to an actual game is amazing.

Post 28 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 10-Feb-2005 0:28:07

Hmmm well dunno how I'll get to go to a game, but maybe I will someday. I'd wanna go with a hockey pro though ahhaaha, otherwise I'd be lost!

Post 29 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 20:37:55

well. it was confirmed as of today. HOckey = done for the season. Time to start paying attention to the A H L a lot more.

Post 30 by Susanne (move over school!) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 20:42:17

&%^@#$%*!!!!

Post 31 by krisme (Ancient Zoner) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 20:44:16

Oh well, kind of expected that. The Islanders minor-league team is playing here this weekend though. And now it's time to start getting for the baseball season.

Post 32 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 20:53:13

who's bridgeport playing. do you know?
I might watch that game.

Post 33 by Leafs Fan (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Wednesday, 16-Feb-2005 20:56:42

Gary Gary quite contrary cancelled the season in February. Way to go Betman. An abysmal failure since 1993 leaves yet another mark on the history books.

Post 34 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Thursday, 17-Feb-2005 17:14:29

sad thing is. I think this about fineshing the NHL. This really is gonna suck, as it'll have a bad trickle down on the minors I think.

Post 35 by The Shuck Fitter (My name is Liam) on Friday, 18-Feb-2005 22:39:00

There's a Rumor that there might be a meeting at some point in the near future. apparently the players may offer to take the salary cap. I totally think they should.

Post 36 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 19-Feb-2005 2:07:51

Salary cap? What's that lol?
